Founding Team
Vineet is a keen problem solver who is passionate about physics, sports, and music. Armed with a PhD in mechanical engineering from Purdue, he dove headfirst into the world of computer-aided engineering and helped establish COMSOL’s Indian wing before starting oorja. At oorja, he is focused on going beyond the traditional software model and working closely with customers to unlock business value. In his free time, he enjoys hands-on activities like carpentry.
He is also an avid triathlete, having completed several hundred kilometers on foot, cycling, and swimming pools.
Prashant is passionate about mathematics, machine learning, and physics. He completed his PhD in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from IISc, Bangalore, and shortly after that, started working at COMSOL, where he was responsible for building and overseeing several applications. At oorja, Prashant spearheads our R&D and technological efforts.
Prashant when he isn’t solving complex battery problems, Prashant likes to kick back with a good video game or solve math puzzles.
Prajakta brings extensive expertise in customer success and engagement, honed over years of experience. An M.Tech graduate in Microelectronics from IIT Bombay, she began her career at COMSOL, where she successfully managed a portfolio of products. At oorja, she leads customer engagement, ensuring clients receive exceptional support and value from our solutions.
Beyond work, Prajakta is a passionate reader of Marathi literature and enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, constantly refining her culinary skills.
Scientific Advisors
Dr. Raghunathan K brings over 35 years of expertise in chemical and automotive R&D, with 17 years dedicated to lithium-ion battery technology at General Motors R&D. At GM, he led advancements in cell technology assessment, silicon-based anodes, cell modeling, and diagnostics. His tools for cell design and cost estimation shaped GM’s battery chemistry roadmap. A GM Technical Fellow and two-time Boss Kettering Award recipient, Raghu holds 40 publications and patents.
